I’ve got this, right?

Currently I’m in St Louis for the holidays, spending time with my family before I meet up with Gabriel in Chicago.  Yesterday my aunt Carole and cousin Molly arrived in town from NY and immediately wanted to hear all about Gabriel and the trip!!  We chatted for awhile about all the awesomeness of Gabriel, then when into trip details.  The conversation goes as follows:

Carole:  “So where all are you going in South America?”

Me:  “Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile.”

Carole:  “That sounds like a lot.  How are you going to see all of those places in one trip?”

Me:  “We are moving locations every day/every other day for the first two weeks.”

Carole: “WHAT!??!  Geez, how long will it take you to get there?”

Me:  “Umm, well, first I fly to Chicago and spend the night there.  Then wake up and fly to Bolivia, with a layover in Panama City…”

Carole: “That sounds like a really exhausting day of traveling.”

Me:  “Hold on, we haven’t even started traveling yet… We get into Bolivia at about 1:30 am, go to a hotel to sleep, wake up, get back on a plane for Asuncion, stay there for one night, then get on an 8 hour bus to…”

Carol: “Ohh my god, stop.  I’m so tired!”

My cousin Molly then wanted to know what kind of luggage I was bringing, so I brought in the bag which, by the way, is the perfect sized bag if you only need to travel with 3 pairs of underwear and a toothbrush.  They both gasped in horror that that’s all I get to bring for a month.

Ok, but seriously, I’ve got this, right?  I mean, as most of you know, I’m a go getter!  I wake up at 5 am and run 10 miles every morning.  My days are just go go go.  Some would even call me an overachiever.  I’m just hoping that Gabriel will be able to keep up with me!!

My goodness, blogging is SO tiring…. I’m going to go take a nap.
